This summer semester has been the hardest thus far, not because it was sunny out everyday and I wanted to be enjoying the weather, but because I went through a very emotional life changing experience. The metaphor I chose for my capstone presentation matched the emotion I was experiencing after thinking I had lost my husband. The subtle flecks of PTSD from finding his limp and unresponsive body are still with me today and I used them to build my final project. The compassion from this semesters professors is something I will take with me forever because we never know someone’s full story and no matter how detailed of an explanation they can give, we have never been in that position. I have finally been the person in the position of having to explain how badly something affected me but not having enough words. After a week in the hospital and tuning into classes from his bedside, I was able to finish the work I needed to get done and this capstone came together in a way I never expected it to.

That is the reason for the hospital photo in the first slide of the Prezi, because my inspiration for the project was putting this program into the lens of the ambulance ride and hospital visit.

Pre- ambulance ride = Pre program and my goals/dreams.

Current = During this program and what I have learned and how those ideas were further solidified through my traumatic life experience.

Post Ambulance Ride/Program = The updated goals I have for the future after going through the twists and turns of life and the Bachelor of Education Program.
