Educators act ethically and maintain the integrity, credibility and reputation of the profession.
As I reflect on my journey through the B. Ed program I don’t recall a time that this standard was ever an issue for me. This standard was embedded in everything that was done in the program but I never worried about breaching standard 2. In block 1 as part of the course work I did an examination of my digital footprint, this revealed everything on the internet that was attached to my name. I wasn’t nervous of what would show up because I am a very private person and do not post a lot of personal things on the internet but it made me think about the possibility of other people posting something and attaching my name to it. That project in block 1 shaped my thinking early on towards having a level of awareness in every single action in my life and how it makes me look and how it makes the profession look. I have learned to wear my teacher hat always because I am teacher inside and outside of school.
