My name is Krystal Stelter and I am a motivated and compassionate Teacher Candidate at UNBC in the B.Ed. Secondary Program. As a future educator, my mission is to create a sense of community and belonging in the classroom. This means treating students with the utmost respect and making sure that each student knows they are an integral part of the classroom through group discussions, collaborative work and the knowledge that they are always teaching me new things as well. I highly encourage creativity through any outlet but personally, writing is mine. There is just something so therapeutic about creating a new world or transferring the worries and stresses of the day from body to paper through journal writing. After completing the first block of the program I have a new found love for assessment and I am so excited to continue learning! I look forward to being the teacher that my students remember as the flexible, caring, accessible and enthusiastic educator for years after they leave the warmth of my classroom.
