In this section, Teacher Candidates are encouraged to reflect and select exemplars or artifacts that best depict their demonstration and understanding of the BC Teachers’ Council – Professional Standards for BC Educators.
Teacher Candidates must respect FOIPPA rules and not use any specific names of students, staff, or schools in their depiction of each standard. However, they are expected to describe how each artefact best reflects each BC Teacher Standard using writing, pictures, etc. as evidence of their learning.
Teacher Candidates can select more than one exemplar per Teacher Standard. In fact, they are encouraged to select as many examples from practicum, coursework, or other professional learning opportunities they see fit throughout their time during the program that best describes each standard.
